Turn an early idea into a real company. Work alongside industry peers in Calgary or Houston through a 14‑week Ignite journey. Top projects advance to Avatar Studio, followed by Avatar Ventures, unlocking access to the Avatar Leadership Fund and advisory services.
The Entrepreneur Track is a new pathway into Avatar Ignite for individuals or teams with a bold idea to solve a real energy problem. We’ll build a team with you to work on your idea and guide you through the Avatar Core Innovation Process — taking you from problem framing to a clear, evidence-based case for a solution with a path to viability. Stand out Ignite Teams compete for a place in Avatar Studio, where teams develop their initial concept into an investment-ready opportunity with a compelling business case and commercialization strategy.

The Entrepreneur Track is designed with working professionals in mind. Many of our most successful founders began while still in full-time roles — using Ignite as a structured, low-risk way to explore an idea before making the leap. With a commitment of just 2–4 hours per week, Ignite fits around a busy schedule while providing access to industry mentors, team formation support, and a clear path to validate whether your concept is ready for the next stage.

Selection Process
1) Apply
Submit your profile and idea. Include a one-pager or deck if available.
2) Interview
Shortlisted applicants meet with two Avatar representatives.
3) Team up
We assemble cross-function teams shortly after the program kickoff.

No. Apply solo or with a small group - we help match co-founders if needed.

No. To keep focus and clean IP, concurrent programs aren’t permitted during Ignite, or Studio.

For 2026 we prioritize not-yet-incorporated ideas. If already incorporated, contact us before applying.

Primary hubs for 2026 are Calgary and Houston. Some sessions may be hybrid, but in-person engagement is strongly preferred.

Yes. All of our existing program participants will also be working during their time in the program.
